FREE COURSE | BUILD YOUR FIRST CHAT AGENT
LESSON 4: AGENT DEPLOYMENT
Bringing Your AI Agent to Life
Now it’s time to activate your AI Agent — and it’s easier than you think.
You don't need coding skills.
If you can copy, paste, and upload files... you can deploy your first agent today.
Let’s do this.
Recommended Platform: ChatGPT
The easiest way to deploy your first agent is through OpenAI’s GPT platform.
It’s simple, it’s stable, and it lets you:
- Keep your agent private
- Share it with your team
- Or even link it publicly if you want
- Search the Internet during chats
- Summon your agent into a chat
You DO need a paid account ($20/month) to create a GPT.
(If $20 is stopping you, you shouldn’t be here.)
You DO NOT need a paid account to use a GPT.
Which means once you build it, anyone you invite can use it for free.
Deploying Your Agent as a GPT
- Log in to your ChatGPT Plus account.
- Navigate to the "Create a GPT" section.
- Select “Configure.”
- Name your GPT and write a short description.
(This doesn’t affect performance — it just helps users understand its purpose) - Paste your prompt from lesson 3 in the GPT agent instructions
- Upload your prepared knowledge base documents from lesson 2.
(The order does not affect the agent’s performance) - Add "conversation starters."
(These pre-prompts don't affect your agent’s skills. They just give users a fast, easy way to "prompt" to the agent without typing.) - Add an icon (optional) — something recognizable at a glance.
- Save your GPT.
- Copy and
save your unique GPT link — that’s how you (and others) will access it.

Deploying Your Agent on Claude
Prefer Claude? Here’s the flow:
- Log in to your Claude account (paid account required).
- Navigate to "Projects."
- Name your Project. (Again, doesn’t affect performance.)
- Paste your instructions in the Project description field.
- Upload your prepared documents.
- Save your Project.
Note:
Claude currently does not accept images for Projects, but you can upload them into the Chat.
Claude Agents stay private unless you upgrade to their Max Plan ($100+/mo).

Deploying Your Agent Into Any LLM
Meta, Google, Grok, etc.
You can "inject" your agent into any large language model chat interface by doing this manually:
- Open a new chat.
- Paste your full agent instructions as the first prompt.
- Upload relevant documents if the platform supports it.
- Then, enter your first task after your instructions prompt.
Best practice: Add "ask me three clarifying questions before you begin so you fully understand my goals and expectations."

Conclusion: Start Smart
When things are hard to use, people don’t use them. Manual deployments work... but they're clunky.
When things are easy to use, people use them more often.
Make your first agent easy to use.
That’s why we recommend starting with GPT.
- Easy team access
- Shareable links
- Full-featured interface
If you primarily do creative writing or longer-form storytelling, and are choosing between the two, Claude could be a better fit.
Don’t wait!
